LAST YEAR I SET A NEW GOAL…
I value shared resources. I love potlucks, clothing exchanges and classroom time where grand ideas are generated and dispersed. And I find great satisfaction in helping alleviate the financial stress others are experiencing, but, as life would have it, money has been a little harder to come by since my kids came along. I know many others are in the same boat. And so, late in 2014 I started a project called The Dollar Endeavor. Perhaps you’ve heard of it?
TO BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER, COMMUNITY-LIKE, TO ACCOMPLISH BIGGER FINANCIAL GIVING ACTS THAN MANY OF US CAN DO ALONE…
This last year, the project has been: COMBINE FORCES TO ACCUMULATE $1,000, THEN MAKE A $1,000 PAYMENT ON ONE CONTRIBUTOR’S STUDENT LOAN DEBT.
We have about $400 left to go before we can draw that name, so get your dollar and your (or a loved one’s) name in the running for the $1K.***
AND IT IS MY HOPE THAT THE VISION WILL CONTINUE TO GROW AND NEW PROJECTS WILL EMERGE…
Eventually, someday, we will reach our current $1,000 goal, and then The Dollar Endeavor will morph as new ideas emerge from the community.
AND TOGETHER WE WILL PROVE TO OURSELVES AND TO THOSE WE HELP THAT THE SMALLEST BITS EXPAND EXPONENTIALLY WHEN WE JOIN FORCES FOR GOOD.
“The Dollar Endeavor is a place where pockets of small change find the power to make a big difference.”
For every $1 given, your name (or a name you designate) will be entered 1x into the project. The Instant we reach $1,000 a name will randomly be drawn, the winner will be contacted, and payment will be made.
